Quotes
A quote is valid for 30 days. It is based on what you have described and on any photographs you have sent. If the surface turns out to be materially different from what was described — much larger, a different material, or far more heavily contaminated — the work stops and you are asked before anything else is done. You are never billed for extra work you have not agreed to.
What you need to provide
- Access to the area on the agreed date.
- An outside tap and a power socket, unless agreed otherwise in advance.
- Vehicles, furniture and anything fragile moved off the area beforehand.
- Windows and doors closed.
What cannot be promised
Cleaning improves a surface; it does not make it new. Some marks are permanent: oil that has soaked into porous concrete, rust staining, spalled or frost-damaged surfaces, paint, and cement haze from the original installation. Where something is unlikely to come out you will be told before the work, not afterwards.
Pre-existing damage — loose blocks, cracked slabs, failed pointing, previously damaged render, rotten timber — is pointed out where noticed and is not caused by the cleaning. Photographs are taken where it matters.
Payment
Domestic work is due on completion unless something else has been agreed in writing. Commercial work is invoiced on the terms set out in the quote.
Cancelling
You can cancel or move a booking free of charge up to 24 hours beforehand. Work is weather-dependent and may need moving from this end too; you will be told as early as possible and a new date offered.
Where you have booked as a consumer away from business premises you have a statutory 14-day right to cancel. If you ask for the work to start inside that period and then cancel, you may be charged for what has already been done.
If something goes wrong
Tell me. Raise it within 14 days of the work and it will be looked at and, where it is fair, put right. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which requires the work to be done with reasonable care and skill.
Liability
Liability is not limited or excluded for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise, liability for any one job is limited to the price of that job.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
