Patio & path cleaning in Suffolk
Patio stone varies enormously in how much pressure it can survive. Indian sandstone in particular pits and scars under a lance held too close, and that damage does not come back out.

How it is done
- Pressure matched to the stone, tested on an inconspicuous area first.
- Black spot lichen treated chemically rather than blasted, because blasting it takes the surface of the stone with it.
- Jointing compound or sand replaced where cleaning has washed it out.
- Surrounding planting rinsed down and protected.
Priced on size and stone type. Black spot treatment quoted separately.

AfterCommon questions
- Can black spot be removed from sandstone?
- Usually, but not with a pressure washer. Black spot is a lichen rooted into the stone and it needs a treatment left to work. Anyone promising to jet it off in one pass is going to scar the slabs.
- Will the cleaning kill my plants?
- Beds and planting next to the work get rinsed and covered where needed. Tell me about anything particularly precious before the day.
